Service Description

This 60-minute restorative and sound yoga class combines deeply supportive postures with the therapeutic use of sound to guide you into profound rest. Using props and blankets, you’ll be gently supported in a series of restorative asanas (positions) designed to help the body release tension through passive stretching. Movement is minimal—expect to settle into just a few postures over the course of the hour, allowing the body and mind to fully unwind. Layered throughout the practice, sound—such as soothing instruments, tones, or vibrations—works to calm the nervous system and support a meditative state. These sound frequencies can help quiet mental chatter, enhance relaxation, and encourage a deeper connection between body and mind. Many people find that sound helps them drop into stillness more easily, creating space for restoration on a deeper level. This class is mellow and low-energy, making it a great complement to more active practices (as well as our busy lives) and an excellent antidote to stress. Stillness is a powerful practice, enabling you to turn inward and connect with your inner self through interoception. Like other styles of yoga, restorative yoga offers a range of physical and mental health benefits, with the added element of sound supporting emotional balance, nervous system regulation, and an overall sense of well-being.
