Service Description
Heated Yin Yoga in Lincoln Heated Yin is a beginner-friendly 60-minute heated Yin yoga class in Lincoln designed to help you drop into stillness, soften tension and reconnect with yourself. It’s different from our standard Yin class because we add gentle heat and a dimly lit, calming environment to reduce distractions and support an inward, more meditative experience. Although the room is warm, this class is not as hot as Heated Yoga because Yin is mostly floor-based and slow. You’ll hold supported poses for around 3–6 minutes, allowing time for your body and mind to unwind. Yin yoga is the counterbalance to faster, strength-building “yang” styles. Instead of working the muscles, Yin focuses on the body’s connective tissues (fascia, tendons, ligaments and joints) and encourages a quieter nervous system. Over time, this can support mobility, flexibility and range of movement, while also building interoception—your ability to notice sensations, emotions and mental patterns with more clarity. Expect: long holds, plenty of options, and a calm atmosphere where you can breathe, settle and reset. Props & Comfort: We use studio props such as blankets, cushions, straps and eye pillows (seasonally). In warmer months we may reduce soft props to protect equipment from sweat—feel free to bring your own towel or small blanket if you like. Hot flushes note: If you experience hot flushes, heat may be triggering. Please reach out before booking if you’d like guidance. FAQ Q. Is Heated Yin suitable for beginners? A. Yes—slow, supported, and fully adaptable. Q. How hot is it? A. Warm and cosy, but gentler than Heated Yoga because you stay mostly still on the floor. Q. What’s the difference between Yin and “normal” yoga? A. Yin is slower, with longer holds that support relaxation and mobility rather than strength or cardio. Q. Will it help flexibility? A. Many people find it supports mobility and range of motion over time, especially alongside regular practice. Q. What should I bring? A. Water and (optional) a towel. Props are provided, but you can bring your own comfort items.
